Ghosts in the Clover at Oran Mor PDX
Date: Saturday 3/7
Time: 6-8pm
Suggested Donation: $10

Ghosts in the Clover is a rebel-folk band rooted in the fight for the marginalized, the silenced, and the disavowed. Their songs are shaped by loss, resistance, exile, and perseverance.

They write music inspired by historical trauma, conflict, displacement, and unresolved narratives. their work exists at the intersection of history, human rights, and lived experience.

Unexamined history doesn't disappear. It embeds itself in communities, structures, behaviors, and beliefs.

History is often whitewashed, taught clean, bloodless, and convenient. Folk songs were never meant to be polite. They carried the truth. Ghosts in the Clover continues that tradition.

Songs remember what textbooks erase. Every generation has something to answer for. These are stories worth keeping alive.

Environment Oregon ~ Mason Bee Workshop

As you probably know, bees are vital to our ecosystems and agriculture. They are responsible for the pollination of 1 in 3 bites of food we eat. Beyond honey bees, over 800 species of native bees call Oregon home, like the beautiful blue orchard mason bee.

But bees increasingly face environmental challenges like climate change, habitat loss, and the widespread use of toxic pesticides. This is why Environment Oregon is working to save the bees by restoring habitats, convincing lawmakers to restrict the use of dangerous pesticides, and educating the public on these important issues.

One of the ways we're doing this is by hosting in-person events to educate community members on what they can do in their backyard to protect our pollinators. Next month, Environment Oregon will be teaming up with Friends of Portland Community Gardens to put on a workshop called "Getting Started with Mason Bees," a how-to for anyone interested in raising these valuable native bees in their own backyard. The workshop will be about 45 minutes of educational content with hands-on demonstrations, followed by time for questions and opportunities for attendees to purchase hand-crafted wooden mason bee houses and take action by signing petitions.

Rabble and Sage at Oran Mor PDX St.Patrick's Day Celebration
Date: Tues 3/17 (St. Patrick's Day!)
Time: 6-8pm

Reservations and information
541-554-2165

Special St. Patrick's Day event.
We'll be open 4-9pm!

Oran Mor PDX is excited to announce that we will  have Rabble and Sage performing on St. Patrick's Day at the tasting room in Sellwood! They're a motley crew of minstrels, mavericks, and merrymakers hailing from Portland, OR who play fantastic Celtic folk music!

Their goal is to raise the voices of the less fortunate through history. Rabble and Sage plays a lot of the usual Celtic folk standards, but their emphasis is on songs about the struggles of the common folk and about communities working together. They have old workers’ songs from the periods of the Tudor and Stewart dynasties, as well as Acadian and early British colony music.

Forest Bailey | Oran Mor PDX
Date: Friday 3/20
Time: 6-8pm

Forest crafts a unique combination of fingerstyle, tapping and percussive playing that is all his own. Drawing from various influences like Michael Hedges, Andy Mckee, Antoine Dufour, Scale The Summit, Led Zeppelin, Chon, and Covet, each song is a musical journey that further shows what two hands and a guitar can accomplish. He underscores these sonic adventures with an exciting, welcoming and humorous stage presence that exudes every ounce of passion he has for his craft.

Although initially enamored by classic rock and heavy metal in his teenage years, his curiosity led to a focus on solo acoustic guitar in 2015. Upon discovering the nuances that a steel string acoustic guitar can create, he quickly found the home for his compositions. These joyful and adventurous music experiments have led him to performing both nationally and internationally, from California to North Carolina, All across Canada and even to Australia. The year 2018 saw the debut release of Forest’s debut instrumental album, “Let The Clouds Pass.”

The years 2018-2019 had Forest Zigzagging across the USA in a fully independent national tour, over 40 concerts in 26 states, 70,000 miles in a station wagon loaded with his guitars and a dream.
