David Rogers - Spanish, Arabian Christmas Music at Oran Mor PDX
Date: 12/12/25
Time: 7-9pm

Tickets $15 at the Door

Washington Post-praised guitarist David Rogers explores the musical landscape of 16th-century Spain through the lens of Valencian court musician Luis Milán. This program blends Arab and European influences with an organic, improvisational spirit that is both historically rich and deeply moving.

Also featured will be Sephardic and North African music that originates in the Andalusian traditions. The second part of the program will feature 20th and 21st century Spanish music which blends all of these traditions to make the Spanish music of today. David will also include a set of Spanish Christmas music.

Termed, 'a prominent guitarist,' by the New York Times, David Rogers maintains an active solo and ensemble career as a classical guitarist and performer on early plucked strings. The Washington Post has praised his ‘astonishingly florid’ solo improvisational passage work. He has been called a 'modern master’ of the classical guitar' by 20th Century Guitar. Classics today.com has praised his ‘first rate instrumental artistry,’ and the Lute Society of America Quarterly has called his technique ‘formidable.’ He is an endorsing artist for Aquila Strings, (Italy) and his compositions has been featured in major guitar magazines such as Fingerstyle Guitar in the United States and Akustic Gitarre in Germany.

David has recorded for Dorian, Callisto and Focus Recordings. He has taught master classes throughout North America, including the San Francisco Conservatory, The University of Southern California and The Interlochen National Arts Camp.

Mead Library Party and Mead Club Pick Up Party

Date: 12/13/25
Time: 2pm-Closing

Our Mead Library is made of special bottles of mead we have set aside to age longer for our Mead Club members (some of them have been there since 2016!). The Library Party is the only time every year that we make those bottles available to the public. We will be pairing four library meads with special foods. We have some very special bottles stashed that will be coming out just for this event and we can't wait to share them with you!

If you are a Mead Club member, this will also be the party where you can pick up your bottles! If you aren't a Mead Club member and would like to know more about the Mead Club, Click Here: https://www.oranmormead.com/mead-club!

Joseph Linahon Celtic Music | Oran Mor PDX
Date: 12/20

Weaving together song and story, Joseph Linahon is a Celtic musician from the Oregon coast with a hard strumming, foot stomping style. Choruses new and old will be sung, accompanied by the melodies of his Irish Bouzouki and traditional Bodhran drum. Sea shanties and folk tunes as well, long recited from palaces to pubs the world over.

With recent appearances at the Oregon Ren Faire, Utah Highland Games and the Las Vegas Ren Faire, a show from Joseph Linahon promises to make for a lively event. We’ll see you there.
